Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is the Mexican American sportscaster. She is the host of SportsNation and serves as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN in 2016. Her mother is the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bilingual since the age of nine years old. It was a helpful skill that helped her secure her first position working as an assistant to the producer for Univision in Miami which allowed her to work with the producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. In St. Petersburg, she was later hired as a reporter by the CBS station as an sports reporter. In 2009, the reporter moved from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. In 2009, she moved to Rio Grande Valley, Texas, where she became a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. The duties of anchoring for sports or weather were regularly asked for. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November, 1985. She has a sister. She is the older sister. Within a brief time her father separated from her mother. She later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in 2006. While on a trip with the family in Ohio, the younger Collins had taken a position alongside her elder sister. Antonietta was a senior in high school having a clear idea of where she wanted her future to be, visited Mount Union University to see what she could get out of the college. She discovered that she was a fan of the campus, and the university had the program she desired. When she completed her high school education, she attended the university to study media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor and manager at WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to have self-confidence and was deeply moved by his love of journalism.
